Lord Rattington really loves Counterfeit. Just saying.
-
Just had a great Lord Rattington moment. Chapel/Mountebank board. He gets super lucky and opens 5/2. Turn 1, he plays his 5 Coppers and.... he buys a Chapel.

Did he have any cards other than Chapel at the end of the game?

Usually, he has another Chapel and a Silver and does ... nothing each turn.
-
The only game I played against Lord Rattington, he trashed down to just one Steward. Then he played that Steward every turn and probably chose the trashing option and bought nothing.
-
Thinning is winning.
-
Lord Rattington is a beast when he plays Smithy BM.

Saw this also, not Mountebank, but other decent 5 cost cards and he opened Chapel on the 5 hand.
-
You have to have a way to trash those Rats...

Thinning is winning.
The opposite of Province is Convince.

Lord Rattington always discards when you play a Vault. Always. If you play your 5th Vault in a turn, he'll discard his last card and not draw any replacement. If you discard your 6th Vault in a turn, he'll slow play you while he tries to figure out how to discard when he has no cards in his hand, and you are forced to resign.

I'm not apologizing for the slow play when you're the one playing that ridiculous vault engine against me.
-
Contraband is overpowered against Lord Rattington : he names copper every single time

Yeah, it's your own vault.

And Apothecary. He'll also always discard to Torturer, so if you want to play around with a strategy, just add in Torturer and the AI will never do anything.

L plays a Remake.
L trashes a Fortune Teller.
L gains a Remake.
L trashes a Province.
L shuffles their deck.
L draws 5 cards.
I haven't taken the time to think of an edge case where this might be a reasonable thing to do, but this, uh, wasn't one.

Colony board, spiked an early 8 with a couple Remakes already, hope to get a Platinum?
-
Fairgrounds, too (didn't have a Platinum in deck, game was ending, needed to increase to the next step), and maybe one of those Events can be another example. Though we know Platinum isn't here as one wasn't gained in the log.
-
Also, you know, thinning is winning. Gotta clear out those dead green cards.

Yeah, it's your own vault.
;D
I've had it happen twice, both times it was because of King's Court. But it DOES mean that you should be able to completely pin him by just playing exactly 5 Vaults each turn.

Better get those useless stop cards out of the way, man!

Earlier today I played Bishop and he trashed Province.

Sounds like he didn't quite understand the idea behind golden deck.
-
Maybe next time he won't reveal a Province! Keep the dream alive Lord Rattington.
Turn 12 - Lord Rattington

L draws a card.
L reveals a Masquerade.

Exactly why Tournament is a bit overrated.
-
Maybe next time he won't reveal a Province! Keep the dream alive Lord Rattington.
For starters Lord Rattington needs to learn to reveal his own provinces, and his moats for that matter. He could trash his hovels too while he's at it.

Could also occasionally take the curse with Torturer, and stop trashing Provinces with Sauna.

Is this from after April 4th?
Version 1.2.1
Fix: Stop AI from trashing its own points
Oh or maybe it had no other options (so this would be, the AI isn't smart enough to not play Junk Dealer when it will probably be screwed).
-
That was from today yes.

Yes, note that it's only drawing 3 cards for the next hand, and that it has Necropolis again.
(Yeah Rattington, make sure you protect that Necropolis at all cost!)
