Title: Capital BM
Post by: Loschmidt on July 12, 2016, 02:22:22 am
Prediction - Capital BM will rock, easily better than Smithy BM.

Experiment - will have to wait until I get home.....

My prediction is that it will be closer to ultimate BM than to Smithy BM.

Capital is pretty neat and often quite good, but I don't think Capital BM without draw is gonna beat Smithy BM. Gold isn't much better than multiple Silvers.

I think Capital will obviously make a lot of BMs much better though, at least.

Seeing as how this was never fully resolved, I went ahead and ran the simulation to confirm what had been said.
I de-optimized Smithy-BM a bit because that was easier to do than fully optimizing Capital-BM.

Smithy over Capital 61-33
Capital over BMU 55-38
Smithy w/ Capital over Smithy 50-45

Did you try different numbers of Capitals?

Tried different numbers of Capitals. 1 was best as a static number.

Since I was doing static numbers for Capital, my de-optimization of Smithy was converting it to a static number of Smithys rather than having a fluid number based on money density.

How does the simulator even play Capital BM? I'm unsure what the best way to play is there... do you get an additional Silver for $3 on a Capital turn, or do you pay off debt?
