I don't know why I enjoy these brackets so much. There really isn't a reason to like them, except that they are mindless fun (that and I am not currently in any Forum Games, so need something to occupy my time). So here is another one, this time the ability that blew our minds the moment we realized it could be used for more than just getting rid of curses.... Trashing!
I expanded the topic slightly to accomadate a full 64 seed bracket. I am classifying cards in this bracket as any card that can trash your own cards (not the cards of others, let's save that for the Favorite Attack Bracket), remove cards from your deck permanently or semi-permanently. This includes: trashers, pseudo-trashers and one-shots. Let me know if I missed any. I tried to be thorough.

At this point, might as well make a bracket for ALL of the Dominion cards.
-
It's beyond a stretch to call Pillage or Feast "thinning" cards.

It's beyond a stretch to call Pillage or Feast "thinning" cards.
I am not calling them thinning cards. I am calling them one-shot trashers.

Well people can at least vote against the nothing-to-do-with-trashing cards to get rid of them.

As always, I'll vote for adventure cards only if I theorically like them (I might change my vote if adventures is available meantime… lol).
Some really tough decisions… my top favorites are Procession, Develop, Farmland and Rats. Least favorite are Doctor, Governor and Ambassador (the only three names ending with -or).
Also, I love how the (presumably) strongest card of the bracket is against the weakest : Rebuild / Transmute.

Pretty impressed how my opinion is different from the rest of the world. I understand that a lot of cards lose because they are not really trasher-thinners. But still... as in the alt vp bracket, it seems like lot of fds users like strong cards more than rather weak or subtle cards :-\

Watchtower vs. Upgrade was tough.. Upgrade is more of a trasher-thinner type thing.. can do some thinning and also gaining. Watchtower is just cool, and when its trashing is useful it tends to be very useful. Plus other utility. All-around more enjoyable card.
Rebuild is good, but I don't particularly enjoy it. I don't really like Stonemason either, or Governor. Both are probably just because I don't use them well. Though Forge gets a minus for me for all those annoying times when you draw Forge together with exactly the stuff you don't want to Forge and never with the stuff that you do. Forge+Rats is cool, though. Anyway, decided on Forge over Governor for no good reason. Sometimes the underdog wins.

Some much closer matchups and some more upsets. Chapel barely got by Count. That was a bit surprising. Apprentice and Bishop were the only clear winners. Because they are loved or because the cards they were matched up against aren't very popular? The cards that are left are all pretty unique in their own ways.

My vote ended up being the deciding vote. Your vote would have made it 10 - 9. So Count would have still lost. Unless another person also voted for Count after/before you.
Not having deadlines on these things makes the time to count votes ambiguous, but I am OK with that.

It's for this:
singletee plays a Forge. (http://councilroom.com/game?game_id=game-20130201-183107-370f2d17.html#singletee-show-turn-12)

Just checked this thread now after only reading the OP, was curious if Bishop, my favorite trasher (and second favorite card overall), was still in it. Yeehaw!!
Oh... ahem, um...
Bishop
Butcher
EDIT:
Bishop is just so, so awesome. I love VP chips. But it's like, Goons is just too good and you almost always go for it no matter what. Monument is also good but pretty simple -- if there is low risk of terminal collision, it's almost always worth it, no questions asked. But Bishop, on the other hand, requires much more thinking. Should I try to thin & get VP chips, or should I instead green? How much will my Bishops help my opponent (who potentially is ignoring Bishop altogether and is greening ahead of me)? How much will my opponent's Bishop help me? Should I mill Provinces with it (which decrease my VP, unlike other millers). In Colony games, the VP chips get less significant, but you could argue that the thinning aspect of it gets more powerful, but then it's likewise powerful for your opponent. Etc. Just love the dynamics it introduces.
Oh and how sweet is it to play Bishop after you played a Militia variant, or your opponent discarded a Curse from your Monty? Or to play Bishop and then Masquerade?
Go Bishop!

Love your card name, I'm sure Dingan agrees!

25 Bishop
4 Masquerade
I agree with Dingan about the dynamic Bishop add to the game. Also, Golden Deck is a particularly unique strategy in Dominion, a thing I would have never thought if I didn't read DS. Very clever.
And masquerade... I think I like the card more for the flavour than the actual effect.
18 Apprentice
14 Butcher
Here the choice is harder : Butcher, apart from its ugly art, is a very nice card, interesting Tfb. But Apprentice is one of these very powerful $5 I enjoy the most.

Bishop (I love Masq, but Bishop is one of the most interesting and fun cards in Dominion.)
Apprentice

Bishop
Butcher (by a slim margin)

25 Bishop 15
4 Masquerade 10
18 Apprentice 13

Both underdogs advance!

Current voting:
Bishop 8
Apprentice 10
Bishop got out to an early lead, but Apprentice has mounted a comeback bid and taken a slim lead! I will leave voting open for a few more days to make sure those that aren't on the forum every day get a chance to vote.

Count should be in the finals.
-
Apprentice! ;D
-
Man this is close; both of those cards are amazing.
But I'll have to go with Apprentice.

Counting up votes. So a few more minutes for any last second voters.

Bishop 10
Apprentice 12
(http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/images/thumb/2/20/Apprentice.jpg/378px-Apprentice.jpg)
Apprentice (18) is the winner.
Along its path to victory it defeated:
Wine Merchant (47) 14 to 1.
Stonemason (15) 9 to 4.
Raze (34) 13 to 5.
Junk Dealer (7) 13 to 6.
Butcher (11) 13 to 11.
Bishop (25) 12 to 10.
Thanks to all trasheresque cards for playing! Good luck to all cards and events and unknown types going forward. Will Apprentice be able to survive the new editions of Empires?

Could you say that it... trashed the competition?

Yes. Yes you could.
