Title: Infiltrator--card that attacks the Tavern Mat

Infiltrator $5 Action-Attack-Reserve 

Put this on your Tavern mat.
Each other player discards a card from his Tavern. Each player who did not takes his -1 Card token.

(Revised from 1st edition: Each player who did not discards two cards.)


This is either  a counter to Reserve cards or else a Militia with delayed but greater benefit. Would it work at $4?

Pin card. If you get 4 of these, you can start each turn with 6$ and make the opponent start with 1 card. Gonna be very hard to ignore on many boards.

Edit: Since putting on the tavern mat is optional, this is a pin that involves only playing 2 of these and a village, and then they're effectively out of the game. Play one more consistently and they will have 0 card hands for the rest of the game.

I really, really, hate pin effects. (I often just blatantely leave games with village + torturer with no reasonable defense.) You could change the 'torturer' effect to a 'militia' effect, though. But you don't leave a choice, so it's 'first check the reserve mat, if no cards there, discard 2 cards'. (Which is not necessarily bad.)

But I am ok with the effect of attacking the reserve mat,  but I'd do it with a sacrifice from yourself. Something like this.

This looks like a fun concept. Different enough from militia, can be used as it's own defense.

They should have to didcard down to three cards, but I do like the concept.

From the subject I so thought it would be a way to put a card on another player's tavern, where it would cause mayhem.

Neat idea, but it should either make opponents discard down to 3 or do something else (like take their −1 card token).

You may want to add "if an Infiltrator was discarded this way, discard an Infiltrator from your Tavern mat" like Knights do to avoid asymmetry in the efficiency of Infiltrators.

Also, you should put "You may put this on your Tavern mat" at the beginning.

With the -1 Card token it might actually work. It's a pretty cool idea and I think it should cost $5 in its current form.
