Title: Earliest Teacher/Champion
Post by: A Drowned Kernel on February 15, 2016, 08:12:57 pm
Any kingdom, up to two events, perfect shuffle luck, how fast can you play Teacher or Champion, not counting Mission or Outpost turns toward the total? I have a Turn Four solution for Teacher, haven't worked out anything specific for Champion.

Best I can do right now is beginning of T5 :(

Kingdom: Peasant, Baker (Events: Scouting Party, Mission)
T1: $2 - Buy Peasant (Draw CCCCC)
T2: $6 - Buy Scouting Party - discard 3 Estates - Buy Mission (Baker token) (Draw PCC // EE, deck is ECCCCC)
T2M: Play Peasant - $3 - Buy Scouting Party (discard ECC), Exchange for Soldier (Draw CCC // SC, deck is EEECCC)
T3: Play Soldier - $6 - Buy Scouting Party - discard 3 Estates, Buy Mission, Exchange for Fugitive (Draw CCC // FC, deck is EEECCC)
T3M: Play Fugitive (draw EE / discard E), $4, Buy scouting party twice (once triggers a shuffle showing ECCCE, discard EEC, second shows CCCCC, discard CCC), Exchange for Disciple (Draw CC / DCC, deck is EEECCC)
T4: Play Disciple, Buy Scouting Party (discard EEE), draw CCC / TC
T5: Play Teacher, why couldn't I cough up $2 more fucking money just to get Mission last turn and win the challenge

I'm too lazy to do this myself, but try opening Travelling Fair and topdeck your Page/Peasent.

Seems better to use scout-ING party

But Summon costs so much!

So I realized that my Peasant solution works just as well for Page. Also, to specify, although my solution involves Mission, Teacher/Champion is played on your regular turn 4.

I got this, so I may as well post it.

Turn 3 Teacher but with 3 events

With Shelters. Events: Travelling Fair, Mission, Alms. Baker is in the Kingdom.

T1: 5C, buy Travelling Fair, buy Peasant, buy Poor House, top deck both.

T2: 3 Shelters, Poor House and Peasant. Play Necropolis, Poor House and Peasant. Buy Mission and Alms for Chancellor. Exchange Peasant for Soldier.

T2M: Draw CC, Chancellor, Necropolis, Soldier. Play all the actions, discard the deck with Chancellor, buy nothing. Exchange Soldier for Fugitive.

T3: Draw Chancellor, Necropolis, Fugitive and CC. Play Necropolis, Fugitive (draw 2 Coppers and discard 1), Chancellor. Discard deck. Buy Mission.

T3M: Draw Disciple and play it, exchange it for a Teacher.

Not my solution, but nice!
