Pacovf: 2, 8, 12, 14, 15, 17, and 19 are wrong. For 13, pick one. :P
-
2) Chapel?
12) Goons?
13) Laboratory
15) Horse Traders?
17) Is it Moat?
19) Ill-Gotten-Gains (I feel dumb for not seeing it at first)
Dunno about 8 or 14
-
17) walled village
15)royal carriage
12) militia
-
I'm saddened that in spite of tradition, #6 is not Moat.
-
Correct answers:
12) pacovf
13) pacovf
15) gkrieg13
19) pacovf
-
2) market
17) secret chamber
-
Can you edit the OP to note which ones have been answered? Because I am too lazy and would like you to do that work for me. ;)
-
I think only 2 and 17 are left

2, 8, 14, and 17 still have not been correctly guessed.
-
14) Junk Dealer?
-
2. Bishop or Forge
8. Possession
17. Fortress
-
8- Relic -that's my first guess. Could almost just as easily be Talisman, Amulet, etc
14- Black Market
17- Vault
At first glance I thought #2 was obviously masquerade, but then I saw it further down.
-
Correct guesses:
8) LibraryAdventurer
17) eHalcyon
-
2)Beggar? Masq?
-
I guess I didn't realize 2) would be so hard. AHoppy is on the right track, though.

2)Borrow
-
2) ...Moneylender/Loan?
EDIT: oh...
14) Black Market?
-
14 shanty town
-
gkrieg13 got 14).
-
Yay!
2 forge
-
You guys are just going to name every single card trying to guess 2, aren't you?
-
2 alms
-
So close...
-
Any other guesses, or do you all give up?
-
is it trader?
-
2. Altar
-
2. Salvager
-
Totally out of left field, since this is the opposite of what you would normally think, but just in case:
2. Miser?
-
Nope, nope, nope, nope. Beggar and Alms were on the right track.
-
transmogrify
save
trade
-
Nope, nope, nope, nope. Beggar and Alms were on the right track.
I still don't think there's a card that text fits better than Bishop, as per my first guess. It works for both theme and effect!

That's what I was thinking with Altar because of the biblical language.
Maybe he's just trolling us.
Or maybe its Borrow.
-
Has Poor House been guessed?

Has Poor House been guessed?
Nope! Well done, yuma!
Now feel free to create your own flavor texts for people to guess! :D

hermit
Masquerade
Pilgrimage
Swindler
Outpost?
Pirate ship
Merchant ship
Platinum
I'm sure plenty of those are wrong though
-
I will assume you started on the second one because that makes more sense.
Only masquerade and pirate ship are correct.
Hermit is really close.
-
"Though my mind could think I still was a mad man"
Is this just Madman?
"And if I claim to be a wise man"
Sage?
"Nothing equals the splendor"
Masterpiece
"My charade is the event of the season"
Harvest
"On a stormy sea of moving emotion"
Sea Hag? Ghost Ship
"I set a course for winds of fortune,"
Navigator
"Once I rose above the noise and confusion"
Lookout?
Edited because it got totally borked the first time.
-
"My charade is the event of the season"
Jester
-
lookout, ghost ship are correct. Events work too.
-
"My charade is the event of the season"
Jester
Travelling Fair
-
"And if I claim to be a wise man"
"I set a course for winds of fortune,"
"Nothing equals the splendor"
Teacher
Maybe one of the ship featuring events, like Expedition or Seaway?
Treasure Trove? Seems like it could be any expensive treasure...
-
Teacher was close the rest were not
-
"And if I claim to be a wise man"
Disciple?
"I set a course for winds of fortune,"
Explorer
Could also be a bunch of other seaside cards though, but I think my guess this time is Explorer. Or some events.
"Nothing equals the splendor"
Treasury?
-
Disciple is correct
-
Treasure Map and Platinum?
Edit: I give up
-
This is stolen from a fan-made MTG card, and applied to a Dominion card.
A little twist here, a little turn there, oh wait, that wasn't supposed to happen... Alchemist
-
Even a dead town, even a wasteland can give rise to heroes.

Yes captain! Perhaps today IS a good day to die!

-

Moat
-

Wharf
I don't get this one. Is this a movie reference?
It's a Star Trek reference, playing on the fact that Wharf sounds like Worf.
