C2 vs werothegreat. Feedback is appreciated, as usual.

Game 1: Tough game for me to decide how to play it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM-VtCzbcgs  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM-VtCzbcgs)

Game 2: Lack of thought of so many cards. In hindsight, there were quite a few alternative, often better, plays available to me.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKq0On0zD1s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKq0On0zD1s)

Game 3: Looks like I overbuilt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuj4z8KTorI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuj4z8KTorI)

Game 4: Caravans? Less silver though :/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4S1aCP4SXM (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4S1aCP4SXM)

Game 5: Straightforward game. One set of urchins collided early, one did not.

Game 6: Alchemists re-appear with a Masquerade.

C1: mith 3-3 michaeljb

Game 1 (https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1447013663750.txt): mith 70-54 michaeljb - Horse Traders/Silver vs. Cellar/Royal Seal... 5/2 wasn't great here, and I got going more quickly on the Fairgrounds. We split those evenly, but I took a lead elsewhere while he was catching up there.
Game 2 (https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1447014126913.txt): mith 10-r michaeljb - Another 4/3 vs. 5/2, this time Hermit/Silver against Merchant Ship/Moat. Ghost Ship seems like a much better opening on $5; I was able to hit him a bit more often while transitioning into a City/Goons engine.
Game 3 (https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1447014537819.txt): mith 19-31 michaeljb - Lots of treasure options here. I totally missed Poor House when I started buying Upgrades, which was huge. Counterfeit is so much better here.
Game 4 (https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1447015065545.txt): michaeljb 47-39 mith - Hunting Party/Tunnel engine. I opened Quarry/Tunnel vs. his Quarry/Develop; the later seems clearly better in retrospect. I had a lead early, but Develop gave him control over the endgame.
Game 5 (https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1447016045658.txt): michaeljb 39-37 mith - Almost stole this one, alas. Masquerade/Potion openings into Apothecary. I got a second Masquerade over Silver; the Silver was clearly necessary in ramping up to Provinces, and he took a big lead there, so I ignored that entirely and worked on Fairgrounds. I took a Sea Hag to slow him down a bit (the green was doing plenty on its own). Eventually he took some of the Fairgrounds himself, and Death Carts to speed the endgame, and I was just a bit short on my last turn (down 7, and I could have taken two Duchies via Death Cart and Horn of Plenty). My Sea Hag didn't slow him down at all in getting to $3 for the last Oasis.
Game 6 (https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1447016688208.txt): michaeljb 24-35 mith - Mercenary. I'm not entirely sure how I got a lead on trashing, but it worked out. Contraband was big here, with Peddler available. All of my Provinces were via Forge, four of them Peddlers.

Thanks for the match!

Crazy gaining board with Border Village, Haggler, Quarry and cheap +buy. He decides to skip Apothecary. With Haggler that could be the right call sometimes but I don't like it here where you can just pick up Candlestickmakers and Pawns. I like to think that the Apothecaries gave me a little edge.

Game 2 Log (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446991949766.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446991949766.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 22:00
Young Witch with Tunnel as the bane and also Tournament. He has a 5/2 which proably isn't that great and he goes Merchant Ship. I'm getting a Young Witch. Surprisingly he gains no YW and no Tunnel either (for a long time throughout the game), and so I take another YW myself. Maybe he was hoping to power through to get Followers, but that plan proved to be wrong, as my own draws weren't really great after all (colliding Witches, dead drawn Tournaments with Province in hand).

Game 3 Log (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446992538994.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446992538994.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 27:15
Nothing else to do for us than to get very thin with Foragers and to pick up Fishing Villages, Poor Houses and Throne Rooms. He's greening a bit earlier while I think that I need to build more. I'm not sure if I should have taken the Province there instead. The chat thought we both had too many Fishing Villages. I probably should have taken the third Forager earlier.

Game 4 Log (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446993144209.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446993144209.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 39:30
The Uni/Watchtower engine doesn't seem worth it so we both want to play the Duchy/Duke slog. He's opening Noble Brigand and steals my opening Silver right away and I decide to try and fight back. His NBs hit a lot better early on and so he can hit 6$ for a Hoard and start going for Duchies. I take a late Hoard and hope to catch up with Provinces. The chat wasn't so sure about going so hard for NB, also my NB over Mystic was questioned.

Game 5 Log (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446993615554.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446993615554.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 47:30
I go for Silver/Silver into Witch first to pick up Villages and Torturers afterwards. My opponent opens Silver/Bishop and gets an early Jester as well. I enventually get the Torturer chain running and flood him with Curses while his Bishop helps me to thin a bit. I'm not so sure what my opponent had in mind here. The chat thought double Silver wasn't so clear, maybe an Armory to gain extra Villages would have been good. I agree with them that I shouldn't have trashed Coppers over Estates early on, also they thought I should have just ignored Bishop and taken an extra Horn of Plenty there.

Game 6 Log (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446994601754.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151108/log.0.1446994601754.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 56:00
Huge engine here. He's got 5/2 again and opens Treasury/Moat. I decide to open with the Potion for Uni on 3/4 because the 5$ costs look pretty juicy while he skips Uni. I manage to split Hunting Parties and it feels like I'm ahead but with our untrashed decks we both have some dud turns. I'm not so sure about his Moat opening. The chat thought that I shouldn't have played my Uni in that turn where only two Provinces were left to increase the chances of simply buying those.

C1: mith 2-1 noey21 (partial, posting so I don't lose the logs).

Game 1 (https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151115/log.0.1447620760277.txt): - mith 57-32 noey21 - Alchemists for me, he opened Bishop but then started buying IGG (and I just trashed the Curses on his Bishop plays or with Junk Dealer and kept right on building). I had 20+ coin tokens from Plaza at some point before I started Bishoping away my bigger stuff.
Game 2 (https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151115/log.0.1447621486665.txt): noey21 9-6 mith - Fishing Village/Margrave decks with Masquerade for added excitement and Stonemason for speed. I had a slightly better build (?), but on his extra turn he was able to pile out the Stonemasons with a small lead.
Game 3 (https://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151115/log.0.1447622134938.txt): noey21 45-61 mith - Tournament. I got the first three Provinces, gg. Mystic was a better turn 5 buy than Highway to help me hit $8, and after that it snowballed.

For Burning Skull vs SCSN : Game 4 - There's an opportunity here to discard poor/duplicate cards with oasis and put them on the native village mat. It is the key to winning this game by activating menageries every turn. If you can spot this early enough you can change a number of plays in that game that make it harder to achieve.

I am after advice about a game I played against werothegreat last night. The kingdom was as follows (and I'm sorry that I can't get the visualizer to work):

Apothecary, Trade Route, Farming Village, Jack of All Trades, Marauder, Catacombs, Count, Rebuild, Grand Market, Expand, Copper, Silver, Gold, Estate, Duchy, Province, Curse, Colony, Platinum, Potion, Ruins

I went Jack with a little Count trashing and some grand markets. Werothegreat went rebuild/Jack.

Afterwards, a friend told me that Stef thought we should go apothecary. My question is about how to play that strategy best.
Do you go apothecary into Expanding Jack-gained silvers into GMs? Or apothecary for reordering with a big Count trash?
I play tested the kingdom and could get 80 points in 18 turns (instead of the 50-odd I made in the game in the same turns) but I'm very inconsistent. I think the problem I have is managing any more than 2-3 non-copper treasures.

The log of the original game is http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151120/log.0.1447987648487.txt (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151120/log.0.1447987648487.txt).

We both play Apothecary into Junk Dealer/Market Square with Advisors. It looks like his second JD thins him a bit too much and I can pick up lots of extra draw.
The chat wasn't so sure if Apothery was so great here and maybe you're fine without then.
In my recent games, I find it very hard to see when to ignore Apothecary. Usually, I think it's good even with thinning and/or other draw around

Game 2: Log (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151115/log.0.1447619723716.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151115/log.0.1447619723716.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 1:14:30 (stream 1)
Enginey Ghost Ship board. I have 5/2 again to open Junk Dealer again. My Smugglers are excellent mid game and I can win the Nobles split while his Ghost Ship didn't work great during the early game and I'm getting most of the Peddlers.
The chat didn't like me taking that many Golds and they also thought I took too many Silvers early.

Game 3: Log (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151115/log.0.1447622809296.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151115/log.0.1447622809296.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 1:52:45 (stream 1)
I'm starting 5/2 or 2/5 for the third time in a row here. We're both ignoring IGGs early and try to build an engine. His early draws seem way better and I'm falling behind, so I'm grabbing the desperate Potion for Possession to shake things up.
The chat wasn't so sure that the engine was better than Altar(s) into IGG rush. Also they thought I should have bought a second Mint which I considered, but then I chose to buy a Province with my money instead.

Game 4: Log (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151115/log.0.1447624978554.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151115/log.0.1447624978554.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 2:44:15 (stream 1)
Grand Market/Highway dominates this board. He opens Masq/Potion to get Alchemists earlier, I open Masq/Silver to hit 5$ for Upgrade and Highway faster. My early position is okay but I misplay my Upgrades and probably get Haggler way too early.
The chat wasn't sure about whether Potion or Silver is better with the opening, it's probably very close.

Game 5: Log (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151122/log.0.1448192160650.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151122/log.0.1448192160650.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 2:30 (stream 2)
Tournament's on the board but it's a colony game and the Scrying Pool engine is too tempting, so we both open Potion/Workshop. His early turns and Milita hits are just better, so he gets ahead and can buy the early Province and collide with a Tournament while I'm still struggling for money. On the other hand, I can win the Pool split and suddenly my deck fires well, so I can get the Province and the Princess and try to come back. Maybe he could have tried to pile out Market Squares and Tournaments.

Game 6: Log (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151122/log.0.1448193015249.txt) | Kingdom (http://gokosalvager.com/kingdomvisualize?logurl=http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151122/log.0.1448193015249.txt&width=100&submit=Search) | starts at 39:30 (stream 2)
Probably the only board that is somewhat dull during our match. We're both playing Steward BM with Upgrades and Salvagers. I guess taking the penultimate Province was the right call for me.

C2 vs singletee

Game 1: Didn't quite know how to play this board so I ended getting up cards that have turned out to be important time after time. I wonder about the role of Minion in this game too. I felt like my opponent had a better deck than me near the end and felt like I was lucky with how the game ended.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u60bVtHCXbI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u60bVtHCXbI)

Game 2: Scrying pool where piles were volatile. I didn't realise how dangerous buying my 2nd Death Cart was but it looks like I got lucky enough to have my opponent stall at a critical time.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKCoK5638uI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKCoK5638uI)

Game 4: Somewhat complicated and interesting board. A good opening for Doctor plus an excellent first trash from Doctor swung the game in my opinion. Luck again.

I've watched this during my breakfast ;).
It looks like this is very hard to build and play correctly. I think your early Minions+Moneylender helped to thin faster, which seems great. Your deck seemed best when it was mostly Minions and Golems. That said, I still would have turned for "usual" draw a lot earlier than you did, but I may well be wrong there. It's so hard to mix Minions and draw.
I think you underestimated the power of your Tributes. I dislike how you played that turn (start of greening phase, you ended up graverobbing Tribute) where you had gotten margraved and kept Golem, Tribute, Graverobber. It's tempting to keep the Council Room you discarted instead of the Graverobber. I think it's worth thinking if you play the Tribute here, possibly before playing Golem. Your deck was still pretty good, I think it's somewhat reasonable to go for a bigger turn. And also, I think trying to keep the Tribute is worthwhile. Your opponent had a somewhat thinned deck and three (?) Nobles in it, I think Tribute was very very good at that point. Maybe you could have built a bit more as well? Maybe you took the Graverobber too early?
Anyways, a very tough set, as said. I don't think you were like super-lucky to win here. It was close anyways.

C1: A Drowned Kernel 5-1 mith

Game 1 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151129/log.0.1448822507634.txt): A Drowned Kernel 34-18 mith - Ambassador/Lookout into Soothsayer worked out better for him than double Ambassador for me. One of mine missed the shuffle, and then they collided turn 6, but I don't know that that's bad luck so much as not good luck.
Game 2 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151129/log.0.1448823781200.txt): A Drowned Kernel 9-5 mith - Double Steward for him vs. Wandering Minstrel/Steward for me into a Torturer engine. I got the better of the Cursing, but he was trashing pretty fast as well. Going into turn 13, he was at -2 and I was threatening a three pile (6 Stonemasons left), but he was able to trash those and buy a Duchy. I was sure I had a win on my turn 13, but I couldn't find a way to get the Stonemasons *and* 4 points. I know I had a draw, but my deck was still slightly better so I took a Vineyard for a small lead, and then I drew a hand of 3 Stewards and a Butcher. Doh. At some point I'll look at this again and see if the win was there.
Game 3 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151129/log.0.1448824278155.txt): A Drowned Kernel 51-38 mith - I went for the Bridge/Village/Nobles engine, while he went for Fool's Gold. Engine wasn't fast enough without trashing.
Game 4 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151129/log.0.1448824669011.txt): mith 51-92 A Drowned Kernel - I just totally overlooked Trader in this one (I didn't make the same mistake later against Derg17!) Trader crushed Mountebank here, and while I was able to trash half the Gardens with Bishop, Silk Road was available as well (and I never got much going anyway).
Game X (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151129/log.0.1448824933688.txt): Dropped connection. This would have been an interesting one, with Bishop, Apprentice, and Fortress. I think I had a small lead in development, but hard to say for sure, and we just replayed it.
Game 5 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151129/log.0.1448825520770.txt): mith 62-39 A Drowned Kernel - We diverged quickly in this one because of Nomad Camp; he opened it with 4, whereas I started with a 3/4. He went heavier on Cartographer, while I went for Highways and was able to win the Grand Market split and eventually pull away.
Game 6 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151129/log.0.1448825921270.txt): mith 0-6 A Drowned Kernel - Mercenary game... a 5/2 split didn't totally kill me thanks to Stonemason, and I even hit the Mercenary on turn 3, but he still out-trashed me and got the crucial early Province for the win.

Thanks for the games, ADK!

C1: mith 4-2 Derg17

Game 1 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151130/log.0.1448850522448.txt): mith 46-48 Derg17 - Ironmonger/Candlestick Maker into Peddlers with Expand to turn them into Provinces and Fairgrounds and Tunnel as alt-VP. I busted on turn 20, and he was able to three pile on $7 thanks to Quarry. Close game with not quite identical strategies.
Game 2 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151130/log.0.1448851516712.txt): Derg17 28-23 mith - I opened Ghost Ship vs. Lookout/Silver for him. Then I decided to go for the IGG-rush, while he built a Hunting Party engine (with Outpost to help play catchup). I got distracted trying to end the game faster (Hunting Party was lower than Duchy), but needed the extra points... I think I could have won this if I had stayed focused on Duchies.
Game 3 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151130/log.0.1448852564297.txt): Derg17 64-65 mith - Ugly game with Sea Hag and Mountebank. I won the Curse split 6-4, opening Sea Hag/Silver vs. Silver/Silver. Tactician was the key card to get going. He diverged for Apothecary, which I don't really understand here (draws the Coppers from Mountebank, but seems like too much junk to be effective); I picked up some Menageries on $3 thinking they were more likely to hit with all the Curses. He definitely had a lead with the first 3 Platinums, but I stayed in it with Butcher and was able to end it with a lead after he came up short on his last (Tactician) turn.
Game 4 (http://): Derg17 12-35 mith - Mercenary and Tournament. We both tried to connect with Market Squares, but that doesn't work well with 3 card hands. I got to the Tournaments and the Provinces faster, and it snowballed from there.
Game 5 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151130/log.0.1448854310600.txt): mith 14-1 Derg17 - Torturer engine with Fortress/Upgrade getting us there faster. He opened Fortress/Silver over Silver/Silver, and bought Upgrade with his first $5 over Torturer, and I think both were mistakes.
Game 6 (http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151130/log.0.1448854735994.txt): mith 55-37 Derg17 - Another Trader board, and after the disaster against ADK I did not overlook it. Similar buys for the first few turns, and then he started going for Gardens turn 6 while I kept building. We eventually split the Gardens anyway, and I started trashing Cultists with Trader to end up with 5 point Gardens and pretty consistent Province buying power (24 Silver!)

Thanks for the games, Derg17!

C1: mith 6-0 Pizowned

Game 1 (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151201/log.0.1448935433409.txt): mith 22-r Pizowned - Marauder/Silver vs. Marauder/Lookout on a Rebuild board. Silver/Silver may have been better actually (and as things turned out, I would have had Rebuilds on turns 3 and 4), but his opening was too slow to get to Rebuild.
Game 2 (http://): mith 48-27 Pizowned - Knights, with Fortress for defense. We split the Knights evenly, he trashed treasure more heavily, but with no draw other than Native Village there wasn't much opportunity for a huge turn. I did buy Native Villages earlier which helped spike $8, otherwise I'm not sure I did anything so great here.
Game 3 (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151201/log.0.1448936794948.txt): Pizowned 9-18 mith - Hunting Grounds/Wandering Minstrel engines with Market and Peddler for monies. No trashing apart from Rats (or an opponent's Saboteur), and we didn't build up our draw much before diving into the Markets and Peddlers. Our decks were basically the same except I had two extra Markets, and I was able to start greening a turn sooner and hit a double Province turn before piling out the Sages when he busted.
Game 4 (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151201/log.0.1448937636891.txt): Pizowned 66-71 mith - I had no business winning this one. 5/2 for him with Tactician/Lighthouse, while I went Hermit/Hermit and got the golden sombrero. Then I thought buying Feodums and trashing them would be a funny way to play catchup on money, and I finally got to Platinum on a Madman turn. He started greening too early (only ever got the one Platinum), and that allowed me to overtake him. Then he started going for Vineyards, but I was able to threaten a three-pile (Feodum, Shanty Town, Lighthouse of all things) and he ended it.
Game 5 (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151201/log.0.1448937996766.txt): Pizowned 16-37 mith - Sea Hag/Develop for me, and I picked up a second Sea Hag to win the Curse split 6-4. I bought a ton of Silver in this one (11 buys, plus 2 from Develop) and pretty much just went BM.
Game 6 (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151201/log.0.1448938337561.txt): mith 20-r Pizowned - He tried Ironworks/Island here, ignoring Mountebank. Junk Dealer was also available, and I trashed down to buy Colonies from turn 15.

Thanks for the games, Pizowned!

You got too many Silvers. Your first Silver on turn 3 (before your opponent even had Soothsayer) is reasonable, but your next $3 hand on turn 7 should be Lookout, and you even take a third Silver over first Lookout on turn 8. On turns 9 and 10 you return 1 Curse or 1 Estate instead of 2 Coppers with Ambassador. As a result of all this, your deck does not get thin fast enough.

Also, your opponent gets rid of all his Estates on turn 3, which is a very good draw.

2 games I want to bring up from my match with MtMagus (D2)

Game 6 (http://www.twitch.tv/elatalkstoherself/v/28175089): I'll be damned if luck didn't win this one for me. I even made some misplays at the start due to poor deck tracking, but I still pulled WAY ahead on the early Province split and Tourney matchups when our decks were pretty similar.

Game 2 (http://www.twitch.tv/elatalkstoherself/v/28174210): Okay guys, I need answers. I decided not to go for Jack on this board because the influx of Silvers would give me way more non-action stop cards than I wanted. But everyone in the chat thought that was the wrong choice. Don't get me wrong, I lost this game hard, but I'm having a hard time believing that that was from something other than my HORRENDOUS lack of deck tracking during the first few shuffles. I think my strategy of thinning down to only actions and Potions and then buying Vineyards would have been pretty viable had I played it right, so can anybody convince me that Jack and the Silvers from it would be better for my deck?

I think e phrased it the best in the chat. He said that the presence of Jack makes the Vineyard plan too slow. It empties the Provinces before you can get enough high-value Vineyards.

Your endgame here is vineyards, 100% correct. But there are a lot of ways to get there and your route is too slow.

The first thing is the opening. I actually would open Jack here. Sure it puts some Silvers in your deck, but also removes some Estates, and nobody is telling you you need to keep those Silvers till the end. You can just trash them with Count later on if they start annoying you. In the early game Silvers are great, as you need to pick up some $5s.
What actually happens in the game is that you don't want jack because of the silvers, but then you spend turns buying silvers.

Second point is about trashing down. You buy a Count, which is off course a necessity for trashing down, but at that point you also have a couple of silvers and other cards you don't want to get rid of. Here you could get lucky drawing Count with 4 times crap, but it doesn't happen which is almost just as likely. What you really need here is a Tactician. On even one Tactician turn you could do all the trashing you did here all game, and probably more. I'm not sure what you should get first (tact or count) but if you get count first there is no point in trashing 2 cards. It's just not worth a turn. In stead buy tact and wait for a turn where you trash a lot.

After trashing down You probably want to play double tact for a while. In this phase you gain a gazillion actions. With both Festival and Mystic on the board it's really strong.
At some point you'll have to decide the game is almost over and probably buy 3 potions while playing your last Tactician. Maybe even 4. Then just grab points.

It's also possible your double tact engine is running so well you just buy out the provinces with it, but that isn't likely against the deck MtMagus was playing here.

C1: mith 5-1 noey21

Game 4 (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151204/log.0.1449193012070.txt): mith 32-21 noey21 - Torturer/Courtyard openings with Plaza for actions. He took Upgrades at some point, mostly trashing Curses (though he did turn a Torturer into Gold which felt like a mistake at that point). I just kept building my engine, only took one of the Curses, and was in a better position to green.
Game 5 (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151204/log.0.1449193598074.txt): mith 41-37 noey21 - Weird set. We both opened Navigator/Develop, with Death Cart and Potion as the other $4 options. He bought Provinces turns 6, 8, and 9, which was pretty nuts considering his deck at the time. I picked up a Possession turn 10 (on $8+P, and I definitely don't think I win buying Province there) and slowly started catching up. Eventually we both grabbed Death Carts trying to hit $8 with our pretty junky decks, and I was able to Develop into Inn to set up with Bazaars, Possession, and Death Cart to hit $8 and steal his Death Cart turn for the win. I got lucky at the end, defintiely, but given how far behind I was I thought I played it pretty well.
Game 6 (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?http://dominion-game-logs.s3.amazonaws.com/game_logs/20151204/log.0.1449194321145.txt): noey21 25-29 mith - Another Torturer game, this time with Bazaar (and Cutpurse for extra annoyance). He bought Tunnels early, and gained a few Gold with them, but that allowed me a much better engine and eventually the win on piles when he took the last Curse over discarding.

Thanks for the games!

EDIT: to Ela

I like a Jack opening here, treasures will be pretty valuable in your deck for quite some time and if you need to get rid of them, you always have that option. You also don't have to continue playing your Jack after the Estates are gone, and Count's discard helps you cycle past treasures if you're using Watchtower for draw (which you should be no matter what your strategy is, that includes double Tactician).

As for which way to go, well I think deciding that before the game starts would be a mistake. It could be that you go for a Festival/Watchtower deck that ignores Tactician because you want to go for Vineyards, that deck seems really good. You could also go double Tac plus a million awesome enablers and that deck is really good too. Festival is key for both of these decks, and multiple Counts are probably good as well. Your draws should probably dictate which direction you go in.

The fact that the things you want a lot of ASAP cost $5 makes me want the Jack in the opening quite a bit more. Your deck can do lots of stuff before it gets super-ultra thin and Jack doesn't actually hurt you in your quest to get super-ultra thin, you just stop playing it if you don't want the Silver more than you want to draw cards or whatever else Jack gives you. Hitting $5 early and often is so important here, and if you decide you want to pile Provinces, the Silvers are sometimes very welcome.

There are cases where you may not want to go for Vineyards, I think in your game you were right to go for them when you did, of course, but I don't think that you can say "yes Vineyards for-suresies 155% 4lyfe" before T1 of the game. This board is really interesting, there's a lot going on.

EDIT: to Ela

I like a Jack opening here

Why am I not surprised?  I also like a Jack opening too, though I tend to think heading towards double tactician makes a lot of sense and still gives the flexibility that Adam wants.  So I think I'd try that approach.  I do think I'd go for count before tac though.  Unless things go very much not the way I want to start.

Also to Ela, re game 6:  I don't have a lot to say except that you should be careful with trusty steed choices.  It seems like you almost reflexively choose cards/actions, rather than thinking about it.  (And it cost you a late game duchy when you used it to draw two known non-actions, and yet you chose actions rather than coins).

C2 vs 7MiKL7

Game 1: Perhaps over-estimated Caravan's ability to carry the game late. Still in pursuit of the game where I can Pillage every turn for some number of turns (> 5, say). The delayed Counterfeit set me back, I think.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNJT_nyG6Io (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNJT_nyG6Io)

Game 2: Bakers and Grand Markets against Margraves with money. Miscounting error No. 1 happens here too.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVY_NT2yYqQ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVY_NT2yYqQ)

Game 3: Didn't like how I built in the early game here and am punished for it severely.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFLMOiLcyKc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFLMOiLcyKc)

Game 4: Game of attrition with Advisors and Bank. Trashing my last Talisman may have been a mistake. I think I get lucky to squeeze this one out.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8CUZgDqQy4 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8CUZgDqQy4)

Game 5: Forager/Jack/Money vs. Jack/Journeyman/Forager/Throne Room engine. Sloppy again here but it turned out to be a blessing instead of a curse.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOxM98ykfmY (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOxM98ykfmY)

Game 6: My recording cut off at what appears to be the 2 hour mark. The game finished without any major hiccups. I amassed 8 or 9 of the Hunting Parties (my opponent didn't pursue them as hotly), the Familiars emptied Curses and the Hermits drained the Pawns. On my last turn, I gained Pawns with Hermit and bought Province, Pawn, Curse to win. I will post the log when it becomes available.

Overall, I played more sloppy than usual and I expect whatever comments to be on things I should have done instead.

Last game of this season against Simon (DK). It's a tense match about the promotion.
