Apparently, when you use your hero power to kill your opponent's Deathlord and it summons an Inspire minion, you get the Inspire bonus.

Sure, it was there when you inspired.
The minion summoned by a deathrattle wasn't.

No. I mean, the rule makes sense, it was just unexpected.

It's more that it's a little bit unclear when the timing of certain things happen. They are consistent, you just need to figure out when it happened.
