I'm a beta tester for the implementation of this game on BGA.  Any tips for a newbie?

Plan ahead, look carefully for options with ship abilities

Be aware of what white cards can come out and think about combos with them. Some combos of two or three white cards can be devastating.

Always look at the black cards. Some can be pretty devastating if timed right.
