yes, yes, not technically forum games, I know, but this is the only part of the forums I really connect with people on, and I wanted to make sure I posted my request to the people I would particularly be keen on playing with.
I'm chairs on playdominion.com and would love to connect with you guys to play that card game I play on rare occasion perhaps more often :)

If anybody's interested and okay with the occasional slow playing (I'm at work and have to focus on work stuff mostly) I'm going to be on goko now. I'll sit in outpost this time for real i promise.

Well, I guess I'm going to bite the bullet and give (free) Goko a try. My cursory look at the Wiki leads me to believe that if I'm going to use Chrome (which is my preference), I need to download the Salvager application. Any other hints as to how to make this as positive an experience as I can?

Turn the music off. But it's really not that terrible. I think people like to exaggerate how bad Goko (well now it's Making Fun) is.

I would play it more if I could actually play it. Using automatch and looking for games at the same time takes me like 10 minutes to find a game even if I'm willing to play Base. It doesn't instaqueue like iso. Human opponents are like this critically important feature for me, I end up just playing Hearthstone.

why don't you just join games manually? Thats what I do.
Yeah, I've always been able to find a game within a couple minutes. Being rated over 5500 helps, though you should probably be able to find a game even if you are rated just over 4000, which I was for a while.

I didn't want to download the whole Salvager extension for Chrome, or read 67 pages of history on that, so I decided to just go play. Accessing the site from Chrome, the opening page looks like some kind of grade school typing project (courier and everything!). The 'sign up' link is not a link, so no account.
Went to IE, and the opening page looks like a high school typing project, so that was an improvement. Alas, the 'sign up' link is not a link. So no Goko for me I guess.

When you click on the sign up button, it should open a pseudo-pop up window (which isn't an actual distinct window/tab) where you can log in with a social network account of your choice (Facebook, Twitter or Google) or just create a Goko account.

I like to play slow and chatty (shocker!) and I've decided I actually want to improve at Dominion a bit. But I only like you guys.
I will actually be on for a couple more hours now, and then late tonight for several hours and a bunch later in the week probably.
