If you were a fan of The Big Bang Theory before it got mainstream (and boring) and are looking for something else, you might like Silicon Valley (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2575988/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1).
In the high-tech gold rush of modern Silicon Valley, the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. A comedy partially inspired by Mike Judge's own experiences as a Silicon Valley engineer in the late 1980s.
I only watched half of the first episode, but quite like it. It's a good mix of The Social Network (serious) and The Internship (over the top comedy). It's a comedy, but not a sitcom like TBBT.

I watched this whole series a few weeks back. SO GOOD. It starts off pretty clever but not really laugh-out-loud. But as you progress through the season (there's only 1, and it's only 8 episodes) it gets laugh-out-loud funny.
Excellent show that's well worth watching.
