(Shamelessly taken from BGG):
The Empire must fall. Our mission must succeed. By destroying their key bases, we will shatter Imperial strength and liberate our people. Yet spies have infiltrated our ranks, ready for sabotage. We must unmask them. In five nights we reshape destiny or die trying. We are the Resistance!
The Resistance is a party game of social deduction. It is designed for five to ten players, lasts about 30 minutes, and has no player elimination. The Resistance is inspired by Mafia/Werewolf, yet it is unique in its core mechanics, which increase the resources for informed decisions, intensify player interaction, and eliminate player elimination.
Players are either Resistance Operatives or Imperial Spies. For three to five rounds, they must depend on each other to carry out missions against the Empire. At the same time, they must try to deduce the other players’ identities and gain their trust. Each round begins with discussion. When ready, the Leader entrusts sets of Plans to a certain number of players (possibly including himself/herself). Everyone votes on whether or not to approve the assignment. Once an assignment passes, the chosen players secretly decide to Support or Sabotage the mission. Based on the results, the mission succeeds (Resistance win) or fails (Empire win). When a team wins three missions, they have won the game.

Look to the next thread for the rules:

There's currently a Resistance game plugging along slowly but surely. It'd probably be best if you don't start this until that's finished.
-
Also, generally when a game is in sign-ups, it's put in the Forum Games section, and then moved here when it starts. :)
-
Oops, you were going to post the rules... you can delete my posts if you want so you can take the second post.
-
Gotta agree with Jimmmmm here. There's been plenty of Resistance and Resistance:Avalon games going, and there might even be a queue for modding. Either way it's probably best not to start multiple at once.

Oh, sorry. I'll wait then. You can still /in if you want.

No, it's fine.

I'm not sure I trust this fellow to run a game of Resistance impartially...

Is this still happening?

Is this still happening?
Yes! This is!
The Rules
1. Each turn, the Leader token passes clockwise.
2. The player with the Leader token chooses 2-5 players (depending on the Mission) to go on the Mission with him. Do this in the forum and like this: I choose X, Y, and Z. He has 24 hours to make his decision.
3. All players, including the Leader, vote 'Yes' or 'No' to the Mission. Do this in the forums, and like this: Vote: No. If a majority votes 'No' the Leader token passes clockwise. If the majority votes 'No' five times, Evil wins.
4. If the majority voted 'Yes' then all players on the mission secretly select 'Success' or 'Fail.' For this, send a PM of your vote to me. Do not post your vote in the forums.
5. After all players on the mission choose 'Success' or 'Fail' (they have 24 hours do this). After all players on the mission have voted, I will reveal all votes. If one or more 'Fail' cards are revealed, Evil wins. There are 5 rounds. If Evil wins three times, Evil wins the game. If the Resistance wins three times, the Resistance wins the game.
6. This is The Resistance: Avalon so we will be playing with the 'Merlin' and 'Assassin' roles.
Who's in?

I'd suggest not referring to mission cards as votes so as to avoid confusion.
-
Voting on missions needs to be done via PM, not in the forum, as it's a simultaneous reveal. Otherwise /in.

Rule Update:
Please PM me your mission vote.

So, if I do this, this will be my first forum game. I'm a maybe. Let me look at some past forum games of resistance.

Is this still happening, because it doesn't look like Nik has been on in a while?

We have 7 people signed up to play, but Nik hasn't posted in 6 weeks or so. Maybe someone else volunteer to mod?
-
I would Mod if someone else /in's.
-
So can we use Hostile Intent and Hidden Agenda expansions for this one?
...
What do you mean they only went on Kickstarter like an hour ago and the rules aren't public yet?

I started a new thread (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=11522.0) for this game. Please post there that you're still /in. Once everyone confirms in that thread, I'll roll the setup and send out PMs.
