Some basic guidelines:
-One song per person per day
-All genres and languages welcome
-Discussion and mature debate about specific artists, genres, or anything else music related is encouraged
-Have some sort of a reason for posting a specific song. For example: "I woke up with this stuck in my head", "The theme from Golden Girls is a masterpiece of American music. Here it is looped for 24 hours. Make sure you listen to the whole thing", or "This Michael Buble song was playing in the supermarket today so I decided to spontaneously reenact the music video. It didn't work so well".
I think that's about all that needs to be said. Let's hear some music!
-
This is a song from the most recent Qosta album. It's dark, but bluesy. I personally love it, but mixed reception is expected.

I like the singer's voice, but that background guitar makes it so spooky.

Song of the Day works too!
Phoenix - 1901 (http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HL548cHH3OY)
One of my all-time favorite bands. The singers are French, but the lyrics are in English. Indie Rock, so be prepared for some light rock mixed with synths.

"Hallowed Be thy Name", cuz there was a Iron Maiden Tribute Band playing at a local club, and as I, while I do like IM, only know a few songs, so this was given to me as a "homework", so am playing it over and over today :P

Posting last Friday's song now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFYVcz7h3o0
We played this at our school's light music concert last Friday, it was amazing. The Savonlinnasali concert hall was full of people and the audience formed a wall of death at the start of the song! It did take a while after all of those 16th note double kick beats before I was recovered enough to go to the mosh pit myself during the performances of other bands, though, and I managed to break a nylon tip from my drumstick, but it was totally worth it.

Yes! The world needs more walls of death.
EDIT: Dude, nylon tips? Seriously?

EDIT: Dude, nylon tips? Seriously?
Why not? I break wooden tips in a couple of days even if I'm just practicing or playing for fun.

I don't play metal but sometimes I play loud as shit and I haven't broken a stick in years. First of all, if you're playing with 7As, I can understand you breaking sticks a lot. Chances are they're way too thin for you. 5As are usually a better thickness for most people. I personally use Vic Firth HD4s (barrel tip), Vic Firth Stanton Moores (big teardrop tip), and Vic Firth Peter Erskine Ride Sticks (for jazz, small teardrop tip). The tips wear out after a few months, which is a decent amount of time, and that's when I usually replace the sticks for lack of stick definition on a ride cymbal.
If you're playing metal, chances are you don't care about stick definition and thus the tip doesn't really matter. I don't even know how you wear down a tip without wearing down the stick first. Is this what's happening?

I used to play with Vic Firth NOVA 7As, and I'm not completely sure what was happening, but oftentimes I would find half of the tip missing after playing a song, and this happened before the stick wore down too much. Then again, often the stick never wore down too much because they had a tendency to split in two before that, so it might be that they were just as high quality as you would expect for the price.
These days I'm using the Mike Portnoy signature sticks (which are a bit bigger than standard 7A, but closer to 7A than 5A) and I usually replace them with new ones after 4-6 months.
I'm playing mostly metal, but also funk and sometimes rock, punk or fusion. I have found the nylon tips good enough for everything so far.

4-6 months is a good life for a stick. I would say try a stick that's a little thicker and never stop experimenting with different sticks. Almost every time I replace sticks, I try a new pair. The nylon tips that I've seen and played with have all been either thin teardrop or slightly thicker teardrop. For metal, punk, and anything loud I would say try a thicker stick with a bigger wooden tip for more power and volume. It might take a while to get used to but you might be used to it. I've been playing for over 10 years and have just recently found a couple sticks that really work for me, and like I said I'm still experimenting.

I find my sticks last a while. I do use thiker sticks than 7A, but sticks breaking after every song sounds nuts. What are you playing? Death metal? :P I also play more often on electronic drums, which I guess is easier on the sticks.

I tried 5As a couple of years ago and they were way too unwieldy for me, and since my drums are a bit smaller than what most metal drummers have (10x7", 12x8", 14x12" and 16x14" toms), I've found regular 7As to be powerful enough and the Portnoy signatures are slightly bigger and still incredibly powerful for their size.
I find my sticks last a while. I do use thiker sticks than 7A, but sticks breaking after every song sounds nuts. What are you playing? Death metal? :P I also play more often on electronic drums, which I guess is easier on the sticks.
Oh, the sticks were typically usable for practice for something like two weeks to one month, it was just the tip that didn't last long, and that probably has to do with the fact that the Vic Firth NOVAs are something like 4€ a pair and not very high quality.

I was going to go see Phoenix in France while I was there, but the day of the concert they cancelled on us because the lead singer got sick :( Not happy about that

My friend has been working with the French people he gave money to, but being French, customer service isn't high priority... Therefore it's complicated. I think the most recent news is they said they refunded it months ago, but he hasn't seen the money...

mirrorthrone is a solo project from a guy named vladimir cochet, whom i pretty much consider to be the most genius musician i've ever heard of. he has 4 other projects similar to mirrorthrone, slightly different genres. mt is best described as a mixture between symphonic/black metal and classic

So, I had heard about the song of the day thread, and decided to check it out. No offense, but I am no heavy metal type guy (although I do like some soft rock). So I decided to venture (dominion pun intended) out on this song. Out of all the songs these guys have done, this one is considered their best by views. Enjoy.

Yep, those all look like sub cats of heavy metal to me.
Except for Avante Garde metal.....is that listening to normal but, but wearing a tribly with a feather in it?

The Piano Guys are great. I really enjoy their mixes/covers. This is definitely better than the original 1D song. My favorite of the Piano Guys is the Bourne Identity Theme/Vivaldi Double Cello Concerto mix.

American

Possibly my favorite group, because of how they made songs that have no right to work, that should be complete and utter messes, but it actually does work if you give it the chance.
Bit of a shame because AFAIK they released around 2-3 albums and then stopped.

So I really like The Shins, but haven't taken the time to pay attention to all the lyrics of their songs. Some are really, really interesting. It's also hard to understand what he says, and he's often misquoted.. he seems to construct songs where one word can easily be replaced by another that sounds almost exactly the same, but the meaning still works or changes slightly. Also, what is printed on the lyrics sheet doesn't seem to be exactly what he sings in the album, and I've heard he changes lyrics around when performing live. ("He" here is James Mercer.).
Here is "Sleeping Lessons":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoNtIkRm1HE&feature=kp
Amongst the cool lines:
"Just put yourself in my new hooves
And see that I do what I do
Because the old guard still offend
(Their pudgy hearts and slimy hands)
They've got nothing left on which we depend
So enlist every ounce
Of your bright blood
And off with their heads"
(Notably, "hooves" surely sounds like he says "shoes", but I actually looked it up on the CD insert.

The Shins are so good. I really like the way he sings even though I usually have no clue what James Mercer is saying (though maybe I should be paying closer attention). Have you listened to Guster? You might like them too.

On a heavier note, not metal but music you'd listen to while driving fast down a desert highway.

Continuing with The Shins, here is another good one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tx4dvq9lsY
I particularly like the opening lines:
You can fake it for a while
Bite your tongue and smile
Like every mother does her ugly child
But the stars are leaking out
Like spittle from a cloud
Amassed resentment counting ounce and pound

Ah, Stromae is coming to the States ? I doubt that'll be a great success, but I guess he's made it in non-French speaking European countries so... who knows. I'm not the biggest fan, but I have a lot of respect for what he's trying to do.
I like this better from him though :

Formidable is great too. But yeah, not sure how he's going to do... A quick search finds that he's doing 4 shows, 3 of which don't have tickets available on ticketmaster. Not sure if that means they're sold out or not. I like him better than most American pop music.

I'm not a huge fan of French in music. I mean this as no offense to people who speak French. But I don't really like the sound of it. Kind of how I don't really like the sound of violins and guitars. I think the rest of Stromae's music was pretty decent and the music videos were sweet.

So no rock and no classical. Techno? Chamber music?

I can appreciate the music. But I would prefer other instruments. I also think electric guitars are much better than acoustic.

One of my new favorite songs! The music video is pretty neat too - it takes over 50 common idioms and portrays them literally. However, I'm pretty sure KingZog would classify this as 'girl music'.

Hey! I didnt start calling anything girl music. That was grujha I believe. And I listen to Coldplay sometimes, and the Beatles. It's not all hard rock.
-
That's not girl music. Girl music requires ukeleles, kazoos, bells (remember the mini-xylophone thing in elementary school?), and songs you could safely describe as "cute".

For some reason I thought it was you who said that. I looked back and it seems it was Grujah.

Well perhaps I encouraged it :P but as FTTW said, if it doesn't have cutesy things it's not really girly music. It sounded more artsy fartsy, which is very different.

The first DKM song I ever heard back in middle school. I'm more of an old school DKM fan. The first album is good but Sing Loud Sing Proud and The Gang's All Here are their best work in my opinion.

I bought a ticket to see DKM in Baltimore when I was 16 or so. I went by myself, jumped in the pit and somebody threw me over the railing in front of the stage. What a ridiculous show.
EDIT: I just checked their wikipedia page and I've been pretty out of it. I don't even have their last five albums.

I have a friend who lives in Arizona who went to one of their concerts and she loved it a lot too. If only I lived in a bigger city. But that's sweet that they're coming out with more music. Vessel was one of the first albums I ever bought and I still often listen to it.

Jacques Brel is indeed amazing. Funny you bring him up since many people like to compare Stromae (who was mentioned a few pages back) to him. Mostly because they have a similar accent (both Belgian) but Stromae does have Brel-ish mannerisms on a few of his songs.
As for the accordeon, it certainly doesn't feel underused to me, but that's because a lot of the French indie bands I like use it a lot.
Here's my favorite Brel song by the way :

So, AndrewisFTTW requested some Spanish songs. I've already posted (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=10348.msg427295#msg427295) a couple (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=10348.msg427684#msg427684), but here's three more.
I'm going to break the one song per person per day, since it is a specific request, and post three of them to kinda cover different genres. I'm such a rebel. I might post more in the future if people are interested. Note that this is all from Spain, stuff over there in the Americas can be quite different.
Somehow I thought I had already posted this one? That guitar solo is one of my favourite things ever.

Franco-Spanish (huh, that doesn't sound great)
Haha. Gallo-hispanic? Hispano-gallic? :P
Manu Chao was reasonably well-known, there was a time were both Clandestino (which I like) and/or Me gustas tú (which let's say I liked less) were playing on the radio non-stop.

I don't think Mano Negra was ever well-known in Spain, but I could have missed it. I like the song you linked though.

Now that I think about it, it's actually funny the number of singers who have worked on both sides of the Pyrenees, given the fact that both languages are very different. Although I guess some Spaniards couldn't really sing in one of the sides not that long ago. Possibly the most well-known:

Uuunnngg! It's so funky. And yes, Rage Against the Machine is metal. It's not hardcore metal, or death metal. Same as Black Sabbath. It's metal, just another kind.
-
I can't figure out what funky means in this context
-
Well I mean, it's not funk music. But the original song is funk. So it comes through with the initial guitar melody, and in the chorus.
It's a mix of styles really. I find the most interesting music mixes styles.

Well I mean, it's not funk music. But the original song is funk. So it comes through with the initial guitar melody, and in the chorus.
It's a mix of styles really. I find the most interesting music mixes styles.
Have you ever checked out Stuck Mojo?

Sur l'océan couleur de fer
Pleurait un choeur immense
Et ces longs cris dont la démence
Semble percer l'enfer
Et puis la mort, et le silence
Montant comme un mur noir
... Parfois au loin se laissait voir
Un feu qui se balance

Neither, actually. I was never in this choir. It's kind of funny actually because they turned me down at auditions twice... and now they pay me.

Well, they pay me to arrange songs for them. I decided to stop auditioning after two failed attempts, then I asked if they could try some of my arrangements and they offered to pay me for commissions. I don't even go to that school anymore.

So I had a dream this morning that I was the guitarist of Spinal Tap who was trying to learn & tune a violin & add some fiddle to the band. That, in combination with the above post, made me want to listen to The Who's Tommy again, a truly awesome musical.

<Dark Fortress- On Fever's Wings.>
I like to read the lyrics of music I listen to*, so I read these lyrics and it kinda makes me think of something out of a HP Lovecraft story. "The Whisperer In Darkness" and "The Dreams in the Witch House" are two of my favorite stories from Cthulhu mythos collection I have. And they're the stories this song's lyrics remind me of.

For anyone that plays cello: Is the amount of deterioration (that appears and disappears) on the bow hairs during that performance normal for that length of tune/technique of playing? Or was it added for visual effect?

Wow, these guys are fantastic. Have they done Zeppelin's Kashmir? Seems tailor made for their sensibilities.
-
For anyone that plays cello: Is the amount of deterioration (that appears and disappears) on the bow hairs during that performance normal for that length of tune/technique of playing? Or was it added for visual effect?
I've been using my current bow for around 7 years, I occasionally use pretty aggressive bowing techniques and it's in a way better condition. In other words, no.
-
Using your bow "normally", it should last years. But according to their concert footage, it looks like they do eat through their bows pretty quickly, if not as quickly as in these videos. Whether the amount of deterioration in the official videos is a consequence of repeated takes or just embellishment, I don't know.

Not much at all, actually. I grabbed Lorde's isolated vocals from the internet and changed a few notes, then I synced up the tempos and deleted a verse from Royals. That's all it took.

Why do you need infinite DAWs? I can somehow understand why someone would want two of them, but I've never needed more than one DAW.
Well, to be more accurate, you can get an arbitrarily large finite number of d'aws, which implies that it can generate one d'aw on demand. So, although you may not need that many right now, having access to an infinite d'aw stream is nice.
I'm still sad that Friendship is Witchcraft barely updates, although if I had to pick a MLP fan show to update I'd pick Doctor Whooves Adventures over it.

Have you heard of Animal Collective? You may like them if you like these guys.
My brother bought Tame Impala's two albums. I hate the first one, it feels like all of the worst elements of mixing from Blur's self titled album were used in every song. I don't like everything under a filter.
The second album is a lot better so far, from what I'm listening to.

Rooftops are shaking under the pressure of the day
A heavenly shepherd herds the clouds,
A city shoots its lights into the night
But strong is the night, great is her power...
To those who got to bed - good dreams, good night...
I've been waiting for this time,
And now this time has come
Those who were silent aren't silent anymore
Those who have nothing to wait for, mount their horses
You won't catch up with them, it's too late now...
To those who got to bed - good dreams, good night...
Neighbors come, they complain they hear hooves clicking
They can't fall asleep, it disturbs their dreams
Those who've got nothing to wait for - they take off,
Those who are saved, those who are saved...

An interesting thing I noted when listening to this is that it's not the same version I own at all, in fact it sounds better. I conclude that these are the original recordings used in the movie while the ones I have are after the fact re-recordings in a more condensed version.

The texture of the soul is a liquid that casts a vermilion flood
From a wound carved as an oath it fills the river bank a sanguine fog
These arms were meant to be lost
Hacked, severed and forgotten
The texture of time is a whisper that echoes across the flood
It's hymn resonates from tree to tree, through every sullen bough it sings
These boughs were said to be lost
Torn, unearthed and broken
Earth to flesh, flesh to wood
Cast these limbs into the water
Flesh to wood, wood to stone
Cast this stone into the water

Noah and the Whale was great in their first album. Their subsequent ones I liked less.. apparently the lead singer/writer was dating a female member of the band (cello I think) and they broke up. Their second and third albums were much more slow and depressing, and missed the sound she added. (This story is from memory so I may not have all the facts correct.). I'm pretty sure the band broke up recently.
Yes, they broke up, but one guy wrote the songs anyway. The band has an effect and I would rather he were more first-album-ish but I'll be at least trying whatever he does next (after his one solo single).
Belle and Sebastian's latest album (Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance) is quite good. I also saw them live at Radio City when they toured it. I also recently saw Stephin Merritt at City Winery performing with his celloist from Magnetic Fields, playing mostly Magnetic Fields songs with a few from other ventures. He was great, and really funny in person.
I am a big Merritt fan, though the last really good album was i, some years ago. Not counting the Gothic Archies one because that was all earlier material. Well what am I saying, I liked a fair amount of Peach Blossom Fan, but it didn't get a normal release (there are bits of it on Showtunes). Anyway the latest Future Bible Heroes album was a very mild return to form, but the MF album before that could have been called Andrew in Drag and 14 Other Songs.
I was disappointed by the latest B&S album. My faves from them are Dear Catastrophe Waitress and the debut.
Unfortunately, I haven't found much new music I really like lately. I've been looking into The Smiths. I still have a couple of their albums to pick up, but I liked their first one more than the later ones I tried.
I feel like, a best-of and you're there.
For random interesting that you may not have heard of, look up Spacehog, album Resident Alien. Another great album is Underachievers Please Try Harder by Camera Obscura.
The best Camera Obscura album is Let's Get Out of This Country, you heard it here.
I do not know this Spacehog of which you speak. So, excellent, I will check them out.
On a line between B&S and Merritt, I recommend Divine Comedy. The early stuff, with Promenade as a high point, is more extremely chamber pop; he had a weak period around the turn of the century but got better; a good more recent album is Bang Goes the Knighthood.
As a random obscure thing, I recommend Ed's Redeeming Qualities, a weird folk band. In particular the album Big Grapefruit Clean-up Job.
-
I found it very hard to pick just one song from Demetori's newest album. Eventually I settled on one of the lighter tracks. (Light is relative here, it's still metal.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4U_OGKFpOi8
-
(snip)
I actually have Divine Comedy (I found him because he did the vocals on The 6ths track The Dead Only Quickly Decay). I have Promenade and Casanova. I think I like Casanova better, but I've also listened to it more. I actually haven't given Promenade much of a chance. (Problem with downloading an album and listening on random during commutes; you don't sit down and listen to the entire thing.) I also feel like I should get more of their stuff, so Bang Goes the Neighborhood sounds good.
I will look into Ed's Redeeming Qualities.
I feel like your music spectrum is both wider and deeper than mine, so there's less of a chance I'll know something you haven't heard of. One band that I've picked a couple albums up from and liked is Tennis. I'm not sure how to characterize it. The first album, Cape Dory, I liked quite a bit. I picked up the second album and have a couple songs I like from it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8oVTyAYrnE
I think the lyrics of this song are particularly great, and also sometimes hard to understand with the mastering of their songs, so I'll post them here:
Take good care of what you've got
My father said to me
As he puffed his pipe and baby B.
He dandled on his knee
Don't fool with fools who'll turn away
Keep all good company
Oo hoo oo hoo
Take care of those you call your own
And keep good company
Soon I grew and happy too
My very good friends and me
We'd play all day with Sally J.
The girl from number four
Very soon I begged her won't you keep me company
Oo hoo oo hoo
Oo hoo oo hoo
Oo hoo oo hoo
Come marry me for evermore we'll be good company
Now marriage is an institution sure
My wife and I our needs and nothing more
All my friends by a year
By and by disappeared
But we're safe enough behind our door
I flourished in my humble trade
My reputation grew
The work devoured my waking hours
But when my time was through
Reward of all my efforts my own
Limited company
I hardly noticed Sally as we parted company
All through the years in the end it appears
There was never really anyone but me
Now I'm old, I puff my pipe
But no-one's there to see
I ponder on the lesson of my life's insanity
Take care of those you call your own
And keep good company
To me, this song is tragic, despite the sort of upbeat banjo uke. So it starts with a man (maybe as a young adult or even child/teenager) receiving advice from his father, that what matters most in life is those whom you hold close. His father seems to have lived his advice; at least he has a family in his son and the baby, which could be another child or a grandchild. But of course, we never listen to our parents. Even if we want to, the meaning is often lost. (This is a theme explored in other Queen songs, e.g., Father to Son.)
I think the singer believes he takes the advice to heart, makes good friends, and falls in love with a girl (love the line, Very soon I begged her won't you keep me company). Then he slowly forgets about his friends, because he thinks the answer is in his marriage (But we're safe enough behind our door). As time goes on, he delves into his work and neglects his wife as they grow apart. (Brilliant pun/double entendre in Reward of all my efforts my own/Limited company, as 'limited company' can mean both that he started his own business and that he's all alone.) His wife leaves him, and he barely notices.
Again, I think the singers misinterprets and takes the wrong lesson: All through the years in the end it appears/There was never really anyone but me. He goes through his middle age years and later thinking he's the only one that is real because everyone else left him: he's the only 'good company' and the rest are the 'fools who'll turn away' his father warned him about.
Now he's old, he puffs his pipe just like his father did before him years ago. But there is no baby on his knee, no son on which to impart his wisdom. Instead, he is alone and thinks back on his own life, on what happened. And he finally understands that it was he who did not nurture his relationships, and that's why he's alone now. But, it's too late.

Pretty long but nothing pariticularly inacessible (though it definitely gets better upon repeated listens)

Fun fact, this video depics the Eschaton game from Infinite Jest. The director (also behind Parks and Recreation) is a huge fan. (He actually holds the movie rights, though from what I read he bought them more to prevent a movie from ever being made than from intents to make one.) The song is not itself about the book, though the line
In the year of the chewable Ambien tab
is a direct reference.

In other news, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu just keeps getting better and better. Both musically and visually, even. I've been wondering why a lot of pop artists with EDM influences keep insisting on having three choruses as opposed to two drops even when the chorus is clearly supposed to be like a drop, but I'm glad to hear that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu isn't one of those.

I just realized that the lyrics of this song are surprisingly relevant right now, considering that the song is almost 10 years old, in a much more literal way than was probably intended originally. To explain what I mean, "Muuri" is Finnish for "The Wall" and here's a few snippets of the lyrics (not all of it is easily translatable due to clever usage of the Finnish language in particular):
(spoilered for RSP)
"Understanding won't reach the other side
The enemy will surely rape our country
if we give up the stones of our border wall"
For years, the people waits
and pours its sand into hourglasses and graves
until a guard, from his tower, warns:
"Rise up, something is moving towards, it's too small - I can't see"
With sand on their shoulders,
the survivors notice: a stone from the wall comes loose
A small child, holding a hammer,
asks hesitatingly: "is it safe here?"

I randomly came across this on YouTube. At first, I thought it was yet another one of those super pretentious "experimental" bands whose music doesn't really have any point to it other than being a nonsensical mess, but after a while, I changed my mind and concluded that it's actually really good despite being extremely eclectic and hyperactive.

oh, no, it was definitely positive, looks like I forgot to put a word there :) They are very energetic, people couldn't stop dancing and singing along. They speak to the auditory and in the end they picked random 10 people to dance swing (well, some of the people danced what they thought were swing) on the scene. Really cool, bright concert I recall with smile!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARI0XyTiips
The album is about a photon, which is almost inherently cool. It's sent by the sun to earth, hitting a plant which doesn't get a lot of sunlight. Then the plant is eaten up by insects. Two of them hide their egg from the queen and get thrown out of the swarm. They die but the egg hatches. A pack of predators find the youngling and stalk him as he seeks out the hive. They raide it and kill everyone. The smallest predator gets lost in a river on the way and dies. A man drinks from the river and gets a deadly disease. The rest of his clan realizes it and they burn him alive, so finally...
At the heart of the blaze awareness dissolved
Light ascended devoid of desire
From a trail intertwined life and death strewn behind
To the stars it returned... from the fire

Yesterday I attended the Paul Romero concert with an orchestra. This is the guy who wrote every and each soundtrack for HoMM 2-6. And they were mostly playing Heroes 3 OSTs.
Guys, I have never seen and heard anything this wonderful. There were unusual instruments, Paul was telling us how exactly he came for an idea for every faction soundtrack, he was joking, he brought a Saxophonist friend they were doing OSTs for Heroes II together. All in all, I was nearly crying with happiness as was my mom (it was my gift to her).
If you are a fan of HoMM series and you will ever get a chance to attend such a concert, never think twice.
I don't have videos on me, but here is my favorite soundtrack (HE PLAYED IT TWICE YESTERDAY OMG):

I think this is might now be the song I have spend the most amount of time listening to. (Not necessarily the one I've heard the highest number of times; that would make it harder since most other songs that come to mind are shorter.) It's also pretty far up on my favorite's list, though not number one. The middle part (4:57 onward) is so beautiful and perfect and yet feels so effortless.

My newest fascination is Humanity's Last Breath. I haven't paid that much attention to them before for some reason, but they're pretty great. I didn't watch UMK23 or listen to any of the other songs but the winner is amazing. It's super authentic, super Finnish, I love the unashamed Rammstein fanboyism and it's just well put together. It's almost terrifying when the song transitions into the more melodic part, signifying that the narrator of the lyrics is finally drunk enough to overcome his social insecurity, and almost immediately he starts describing severe effects from being unhealthily drunk.
5/5, really speaks to my soul, best Finnish Eurovision Song Contest entry ever.
